I get the following error
Installation stopped because the directory for the ProjectType value did not exist. The project type is invalid for your installation of Visual Studio.
Granted, VS2015 has been released recently. Do you have plans to update this project for it?

What kind of VS2015 edition have you picked up?
Do you have support for C#, C++ and C++ .Net projects?

ok I don't know what you're trying to achieve but it sounds like you need to create that missing directory on your development machine.

I have not looked into VS2015 yet. But my guess is that it should open the current solution and project files fine.

Updating VST.NET to a higher version of VS is always tricky - because of the pesky C++ library redistributable. This dependency must be installed on the machine that runs your managed plugin/host code.
